One thing that I’m struck by this time that we are living in in 2020, is the astonishing number of stories that will be written – ARE being written.
There are the big stories-of a #pandemic, of healthcare #heroes, of police brutality and anti-black racism of civil uprising, of life and death. Of businesses that find a way to pivot and those that got buried. These alone are enough to fill blogs, journals, #podcasts and magazines for years to come.
But then there are other seemingly smaller stories of virtual weddings, of communities that pulled together to help the vulnerable, and of babies being born in lockdown.
Funny thing is that some people act as if they’re a passive character, an observer in the story of their own life, career or as a leader of their own company. Maybe it’s bc we consume so much of this news on a screen we feel removed. Isolation makes it worse. Many are scrambling to stay afloat emotionally and financially.
𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐡is, 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. Even in small ways you can make 2020 a story that moves you in the right direction.
The #story is being written either way.. what’s gonna be the story for your personal and business #brand?
